Meet your new arch Nemeziz.
Adidas Football Launches Nemeziz, a Boot for the Agile Creator
To create the future means taking inspiration from the past. This time adidas looked even further outside the box to discover a hidden gem and age old tradition; using tape to boost both mental and physical performance
"Part of our design philosophy at adidas Football is to look back to help us look forward, something we’ve held true to with the design of Nemeziz"
- Sam Handy, Vice President of Design, adidas Football
The result is Nemeziz, adidas Football’s latest boot, designed for unprecedented agility for the game’s most fluid players.
Some headline players who are going to wear the Nemeziz will be Leo Messi, Renato Sanches and Roberto Firmino (who premiered them in Wednesday's friendly against Sydney FC as seen above and below).
Barcelona star Leo Messi will debut the Nemeziz for the first time on the pitch in the Copa del Rey final on 27 May.
Unwrapping defences doesn't come easy, these artists need boots that deliver security, support and adaptability.
Several design features have been implemented to ensure peak performance in these areas. The unique AGILITYBANDAGE features revolutionary TORSIONTAPES technology to keep the foot locked down, whilst a dual-lock collar pins the ankle in place to enable explosive changes of direction.
The TORSIONFRAME outsole features an ultra-lightweight construction and TORSIONRIBS to provide dynamic push off support. The new AGILITYKNIT 2.0 intertwined yarn structure provides a soft and direct touch with a lightweight and somewhat compliant feel.
The boot will launch with a bold black and white colourway. Perhaps for once, the biggest question isn't how they feel. But whether they're black with white stripes, or white with black stripes?
