Celebrating 20 years of the Mercurial, Nike have released the “What the Mercurial” colour way for the Nike Mercurial Superfly VI.

Today's fresh release, which is inspired by the outrageously wacky colourway from the 2016 variation, features a much more subdued look.

One of the features that stand out on the boot are the 3D prints from all the iconic Mercurial Superflys.

A special adaptation of the 'M' logo appears on the front of the tongue of the “What the Mercurial” Superfly VI Elite boots commemorating the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the silo, which was worn by Ronaldo for the first time just on 8 March, 1998.

A dark metallic sole plate rounds off the design alongside the "What The Mercurial" wordmark and five dots on the heel, just as on the 2016 edition. This colourway isn’t going to be the most attractive colour wise, but when looked at up close, people won’t be able to keep their hands off the boots.

The 20th anniversary "What The Mercurial" comes in a special box and with a string bag. Only 1,998 pairs of the Nike What The Mercurial 2018 boots will be available - 20 pairs went on sale at NikeLab Milan on March 8, with the remaining 1,978 launched on March 12.
