In Aloisi’s second season with the Roar he labelled it as “one of the lowest points” in his time but has vowed for the opposite against the Jets.

“We have a proud team and we have supporters that expect a lot and we want to deliver to them,” Aloisi said.

“They’ve been great standing by us in tough times and I don’t think we need any extra motivation.

“The boys hurt that day, we didn’t perform as a team as a club and don’t worry we’ll make sure we do.”

The Roar fell 2-0 to high-flying Sydney FC away from home last week for the first time since the shellacking to the Jets.

Sydney’s triumph has widened the gap between first and second (Melbourne Victory) on the table with seven points separating them.

Brisbane are now third with Aloisi stating lessons were learned and was happy with what his team produced on the field despite the loss.

“The focus has been keep on performing the way we are performing because it was a good performance last week,” he said.

“There were a couple of little mistakes but we took the game to a very confident side at their ground.

“Everyone knows we love playing at Suncorp and we’re expecting another good performance, if we do that we’ll get results.

“No one like to lose, last week hurt us because we felt we deserved more out of the game. There’s that motivation there in making sure we respond this week and to make sure we get the result we want.”
