A Landon Donovan hat-trick steered the United States to a 3-1 win over Ecuador in an international friendly at the Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The Los Angeles Galaxy striker put Bob Bradley's side ahead after just three minutes, but the visitors hit back after 16 minutes when Felipe Caicedo tapped home a Neicer Reasco cross.
USA then took control in the second half and Donovan grabbed his second in the 68th minute, racing through the Ecuador backline before coolly slotting home.
And the win was sealed two minutes later with Donovan completing his hat-trick.
The US will next face Guatemala on Wednesday while Ecuador take on Mexico as both teams continue their preparations for this summer's Copa America in Venezuela.
The United States face Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia in Group C in that tournament, while Ecuador share Group B with Brazil, Mexico and Chile.
