AUSTRALIA'S HISTORY AT THE ASIAN CUP:
The Socceroos have had mixed results at the Asian Cup since joining the Asian Football Confederation and will attempt to become champions for a second time in 2024.
The tournament was originally due to be held in China in 2023 but China gave up hosting rights amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was then awarded to Qatar and rescheduled to January-February 2024.
