Rogic put in a Man of the Match display and could have had the opener on 10 minutes only to see his ferocious left-footed shot smack off the crossbar.

The Aussie playmaker not only set up a goal for James Forrest to give Celtic a 2-1 lead at the break but put the icing on a big win with a goal of his own in the final minute.

Goal scorer Leigh Griffiths hailed his Aussie team-mate post-match: "We know what Tom can do," he said.

"He just glides along the floor and his touch at times is phenomenal. His all-round game is different class.

"It must have been disappointing for him during the week (against Hapoel Beer-Sheva) to not start the game, but he came back and was man of the match."

The win moves the Hoops one point clear of Rangers at the top of the table ahead of the Old Firm clash on September 10.

Griffiths said there was no team in Scotland that could deal with Celtic’s potent attack.

"No, I don't think they can,” he said.

"We go forward at pace and hurt teams. It's great to have those attacking options."

Griffiths fired Celtic into the lead on 13 minutes before Adam Rooney equalised for the visitors in the 32nd minute.

James Forrest and Scott Sinclair also got their names on the scoresheet, Sinclair firing home a late penalty after Aberdeen’s Mark Reynolds was sent off.

Rogic then curled in a superb free-kick around the wall and into the bottom corner of the net to mark another stellar performance by the 23-year-old.

It’s been a big week for Rogic, whose Celtic side was pitted against Barcelona and Manchester City in the UEFA Champions’ League group stage, while he knows head back to Australia for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against Iraq.
