Perth Glory striker Andy Keogh says he is surprised teammate Diego Castro never made a “bigger move” during his time in La Liga.
Castro has impressed this season for the Glory scoring eight goals, as the club sit fifth and could potentially rise to third at the end of this round.
The Irishman spoke to the Daily Football Show on Friday, saying the the former Getafe man could have featured in England.
“I think Diego for me is the best player in the league," Keogh said.
“In his heyday I’m surprised he never got a bigger move. There were a lot of teams in England sniffing around Spanish players.

“I just think back to some of the teams I’ve played against and been in and he would’ve been a brilliant fit for them and we’re just lucky to have him here in Perth.
“I have to say he’s one of the best players in terms of overall game and being on my wavelength and vice-versa. It’s a joy to play with him.”
Glory and Brisbane Roar lock horns tonight at nib Stadium.
