Socceroo Aaron Mooy admits long travel and temperature extremes make it difficult to bounce between club football and international duty.
Since the beginning of October Mooy has played in three World Cup qualifiers against Saudi Arabia (2-2) in Jeddah, Japan (1-1) in Melbourne and Thailand (2-2) in Bangkok.
The Huddersfield Town midfielder told htafc.com it was tough balancing the demands of club and country.
“The travelling is tough and it does take a lot out of you but playing for your country is something, as a player, that you want to do,” the 26-year-old said.
“All the top players deal with going away on international duty and then perform at club level and that’s what I’m trying to do.
“The hardest thing is dealing with the temperature change. It's easier to come back from the warm weather in Australia or Thailand to the colder weather in Huddersfield but it’s hard to do it the other way around.
“The experience will make me a better player and I just want to keep improving.”

The Terriers are be hoping for a return to their early season form which saw them leading the Championship at the start of October. They currently sit in 6th spot.
Mooy urged the supporters to keep coming out in force.
“The fans have been really good since I joined the club and I hope they continue to be! We appreciate the support they’re giving us.”
