Phoenix and the Sky Blues will do battle at Westpac Stadium on Saturday, with Sydney minus the services of Brandon O’Neill and Josh Brillante due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Fox Sports microphones picked up Arnold telling Brillante to deliberately pick up a yellow card during Sydney’s 3-0 win over Melbourne City on Saturday.

The bookings ensured the pair wouldn’t miss a finals match, but rather the clash with seventh-placed Wellington which didn’t offend or bother Greenacre.

“I think it’s gone on for a number of years,” Greenacre said.

“It’s not the first time I’ve heard that.

“It is what it is, the people in charge will see fit what needs to happen.

“We’ve all been in the game a long time. It’s not something new to me.

“They’re without two of their most consistent players in O’Neill and Brillante. It’s in our hands. It’s good for us.”

Greenacre also revealed Jacob Trott was unavailable for the clash, while Tom Doyle will overcome illness to be in the mix to play.

Dylan Fox will have a scan on his knee on Thursday after hyperextending it but would be “probably missing” against Sydney.

Matthew Ridenton will also wait on scan results on his injured knee from Sunday’s 3-0 win at Melbourne Victory.
