Victory teenager Sebastian Pasquali has agreed to join Dutch Eredivisie club AFC Ajax without the A-League club being advised.
He has subsequently been pulled from Victory’s squad to face Wellington on Monday night.
The 16-year-old has played just two A-league matches for Victory after debuting in the Melbourne Derby on October 15, but has been strong.
He helped Marco Rojas find the back of the net on October 22 in the 76th-minute to get Victory home 2-1 win against Adelaide.
“Melbourne Victory has been advised that midfielder Sebastian Pasquali has agreed to join Dutch Eredivisie club AFC Ajax,” Victory said via a statement.

“Victory is yet to be formally advised by Ajax, and will therefore wait for further information and provide an update in due course.
“In the meantime, Pasquali will not be part of the squad for Monday night's game against Wellington Phoenix at Etihad Stadium.”
Pasquali made his unofficial senior debut for Victory in the 2016 ICC match against Juventus.
