The teams went into the sheds at half time all square after an own goal to Josh Risdon (22') was cancelled out by a long range equaliser by Perth skipper Rostyn Griffiths (25').

But it all turned sour for the visitors after the break - a controversial goal to Andy Keogh (67'), and coach Gui Amor being sent to the stands.

Young gun Jordan O'Doherty then saw red (71'), a second yellow for a lunging tackle, and punched the wall in frustration on his way down the tunnel.

Keogh scored his brace (94') deep into injury time finishing a sweeping counter attack with a clinical header.

Heaping more trouble on the defending champions, leading goalscorer Sergi Guardiola had already been subbed off injured (58').

But the major flashpoint came on the second goal when Griffiths challenging for the ball, bundled over goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic, giving Keogh an easy tap-in to put Glory in front.

An unusually animated Amor apparently touched the fourth official to get his attention and was promptly sent to the stands.

Meanwhile Reds defender Iacopo La Rocca could find himself in hot water after an elbow to the head of Keogh (90') left the Irishman bleeding from the mouth. The contact went unseen by the match officials but threatened to blow-up between the players.

The loss extends Adelaide's winless run to seven games.

For Glory though the scoreline was just what they needed after a 4-1 shellacking by Sydney FC last week.

The result sees Glory move up to joint third on the A-League table while Adelaide remain rock bottom.
