MELBOURNE Victory have officially launched their new strip for next season, with new suppliers adidas sticking by the tried and trusted home design, but adding a fluoro twist for the away top.
Victory opted not to have a big press extravaganza for the new gear and instead did a soft launch online using social media and a video on YouTube.
The home strip is Victory's traditional blue with a white V although it appears to be slightly higher up the chest this year - and adidas's trademark three stripes on the shoulders with their logo under the collared V-neck. There are also large white panels down each side of the top.
But it is the fluoro yellow-green away kit with blue detailing that will get the most interest.
In a huge departure from previous grey or white away strips, adidas have controversially gone for a day-glo look guaranteed not to clash with anything else in the A-League.
In the launch video, stars including skipper Adrian Leijer are seen presenting the new tops to loyal fans in their massive membership. The kit will be available to the public in August.
