Ange Postecoglou’s Socceroos remain in the World’s top 50 after FIFA released its official rankings for May.
Australia moved up to 50th in April and have maintained their position in the latest release on Thursday night.
The Socceroos previously jumped six spots following a draw against Iraq in Tehran (1-1) and a crucial win over UAE in Sydney (2-0) in World Cup Qualifying in late March.
Iran remain the highest ranked nation in Asia in 28th, followed by Korea Republic (43rd), Japan (44th) and Australia (50th).

Australia next face Saudi Arabia (52nd) in Adelaide on June 8 before travelling to Melbourne to tackle South American giants Brazil (1st) in a friendly on June 13.
