YOU know the saying; sex is like Pizza even when it’s bad, it’s good. Sydney, the town of the one night stand and late night kebabs, is becoming as toey as a Roman sandal.

The natives are getting restless; we want the feeling of ecstasy that only a goal brings; and to make collective groans at near misses. We want Sydney FC to roll the dice and take their man on; or try a nutmeg, a step over, a quick one two, an outrageous no look pass, a sublime chip over the keeper, and for us to gush/scream/shout when you do.

Perhaps some inspiration from the father in the Yoplait commercial; c’mon Phillipe don’t be afraid, kick ze ball like I show you, I move slowly for you, kick the ball, you can do it!!!!

Sydney FC face Queensland Roar at Sydney Football Stadium this Friday night. Roar and their courageous captain Craig Moore, who only two weeks ago returned from cancer surgery, will be hoping to continue with their good form of late and deliver another away win; while Sydney FC after only amassing 5 points out of a possible 27 will hope with hope they can get something.

Massimo Murdocca, Queensland’s hard working midfielder says “Roar must beat Sydney FC on Friday night if we are serious about being title contenders.” The Roar midfielder also expressed his admiration for his Captain Craig Moore.

“When I saw Craig's name on the whiteboard … It made me think you've just got to go for life. Go for everything," Murdocca told au.fourfourtwo.com.

Craig Moore showed how Australians and Americans celebrate their sports stars. Americans are experts at drama; they are very good at saying “look at me, look at me’; Australians tend to be a bit shy - we don’t like to make a fuss.

Lance Armstrong suffered from Testicular Cancer as well and recovered and then went on to win the Tour De France. And now he has returned to cycling to save the world. "I'm returning to cycling in order to raise awareness of the global cancer burden," said Mr. Armstrong. “And we will appeal to world leaders, asking for their help in fighting a disease from which millions die needlessly. United, we can win the fight against cancer."

Meanwhile in the Sydney FC camp 35 year old veteran Steve Corica has commented on his condition and may play next season. Corica told au.fourfourtwo.com: "At the moment I feel fine and physically good. If I feel as I do now at the end of the season then why not (continue playing).

I would love to be at training this week. Kossie would no doubt be rallying his troops getting out the Gladiator and Braveheart DVDs, getting his players prepared for battle.

Perhaps Kossie should take a different tack and use a humiliating form of retribution as a way of firing the team up...and under-performing players will be punished by making them watch The Ellen Show.
