WELL, how good was last week? First Jason Culina tells PSV's official website he'll be following his heart back to Australia then Ian Ferguson confirms he's soon going to be in talks with former Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler.

Oh and Justin Pasfield may have slipped under the radar and signed on as well.

Here's a look back on the good and little bit confusing week that was...

It's not NQ Fury news but who could ignore it? The World Game can that's who!

Will he or won't he? The question that has been on the minds of all GCU fans for a while now. Miron Bleiberg and Clive Palmer seemed to be confident, dad Branko Culina tended to hint he might not be, while 'The World Game' pretty much said they were sure he wouldn't be, so which one was it?

In the end it was all laid to rest by Culina himself who admitted to current club PSV Eindhoven's official website he was following his heart home. And as for TWG - well, they struggled to come to terms with it and decided the biggest coup the A-League has seen was not worthy of being their headline story.

Liverpool's 'god' is coming to a city near you.

After being dumped by Blackburn, former Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler decided he might fly into Australia for a chat with an unnamed A-League club in the near future. Has Sydney really forgotten John Aloisi that quickly?

Wait no... it appears he's coming here to NQ to talk terms with Ian Ferguson who wants him as marquee. Sorry Sydney but you're stuck with Aloisi.

The lack of communication.

When it was first revealed Fowler was flying in to Australia for a chat with an A-League club it was unclear which one – supposedly it was NQ Fury but Don Matheson quickly quashed those rumours saying: "As you know, we're still negotiating with Scott Chipperfield but Fowler is a big name with a big price tag, I'd imagine. There are no plans."

Only a few hours later head coach Ian Ferguson told FourFourTwo the club was in fact interested in Fowler's services and that he had been speaking to his management for quite a while now. These two don't talk much do they?

A misunderstanding or inside knowledge?

The Townsville Bulletin were quick to publish a story on the subject with the headline being 'Fury Set to Sign Fowler'. Can these guys read or do they know something we don't?

Still it was great to see the Fury be the talk of the town... must have been a boring few day's in the Cowboy's office then?

Could we miss out on both?

Of course signing Fowler would mean we miss out on Chipperfield, unless we somehow managed to talk Fowler into taking an import spot and a James Robinson-esque salary. What I've found most people have come to think is that if a bid for Fowler fails, we always have the Socceroo as backup, but will putting Fowler as our number one choice jeopardise any chance of signing Chippers should the bid to sign Fowler fail?

FAQs

The most frequently asked questions since it was revealed we were soon to be in talks with Fowler: Q. Can he handle the heat? A. At first he may struggle but living in it everyday makes it easy to acclimatise. Q. Will he be fit in time for the A-League? A. If Charlie Miller can do it anyone can! Q. Is he affordable? A. Pretty sure the guy's over money by now what he's looking for is lifestyle. Q. But is he a better choice then Chipperfield? A. That, I'll let you decide.

Now there's a Petition too!

An attempt to sign a player formerly known to Liverpool fans as 'God' would not be complete without an online petition. Maybe Ian Ferguson can convince Robbie to sign by showing him all 200 names signed on a petition made by a five year old (maybe not five, but it certainly looks like it).
