He's the Jets top scorer. He's our Pippo Inzaghi. If you're good enough, you're young enough, in my opinion.

Put him on a minimum wage, whatever! He scores goals. Isn't that how you win football games? Unless Jets management is going to use his wage to help pay for a mind-blowing Marquee player (which they won't because the Marquee is outside the cap), then you have to look at keeping him.

Take away Sasho's goals this season and how does it make the Jets goal tally look? Miserable, that's how it would look.

Sasho has less minutes on the pitch than the other top scorers for the Jets and no starts. Is that right, no, that can't be true can it? So what does it take to get a contract?

Now, I could understand if Branko was trying to "do a Postecoglou" and put a broom through an ageing squad. But it doesn't seem like it. It doesn't look as if there's a philosophical change in the method of play.

It's a shame this lack of contract for Sasho is hidden under the controversy caused by the changes in the playing strips. It's not like the fans get a vote on who to keep anyways.

Imagine a Michael Owen and Petrovski front line, fed by Bridges and Jason Culina. Hey, the Jets might tear up the A-League.

Yes, I know the arguments about bringing through young players, and it's very noble. It seems there are a lot of younger players coming through, so isn't there room for our top goal-scorer? Michael Bridges isn't young, Kasey Wehrman isn't young. Are they going too?

It's a short blog. It's short because I want to make one clear point.
