The 43,500-seater stadium was built in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don ahead of the World Cup and has already hosted four group stage games at the tournament.

“I am almost certain that the match between Russia and the Czech Republic will be sold out. It is a big honor for us that our national team will play their first match at this arena, at the peak of their popularity,” Arakelyan told journalists.

The stadium will also host a round of 16 match on July 2, which will be the last World Cup game to be played in Rostov-on-Don.
