About 5,000 fans from Serbia have arrived in Russia for the 2018 World Cup, Serbian Ambassador to Russia Slavenko Terzic told Sputnik on Thursday.
"I can't tell exactly how many fans from Serbia have come to Russia for the World Cup but I think that no less than 5,000 people," the Ambassador said.
He added that ethnic Serbians will travel to Russia not only from Serbia but also from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other European countries.
Serbia will face Switzerland on Friday and Brazil on 27 June after defeating Costa Rica 1-0 in their first World Cup match on Sunday.
