Brazil are dreaming of becoming world champions for a sixth time, goalkeeper Alisson Becker told a press conference on Tuesday.
"Our trump cards are beautiful football and our ability to think outside the box," Alisson said.
"Switzerland have a very good defencee. We must cope with it. We will review our past matches against this team and analyze them... Of course, everyone starts to get a little nervous before the match. This condition helps to concentrate and show the results."
Alisson has been in excellent form this season for his club side Roma, but he is not thinking about individual awards, such as being the tournament’s best goalkeeper. Instead, the 25-year-old says the Brazil players are eager to become world champions on July 15.
"Now is not the time to think about personal victories, but if it helps my team to win the trophy, then, of course, I will strive for it.
"Now the main task for us is to think about the team... We are focused and have a great desire to win. All of our players have this goal."
Brazil are based in the Black Sea resort town of Sochi in southern Russia and train at the Yug-Sport Stadium, where they held an open training session on Tuesday.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will kick off on Thursday.
Brazil are the only national team to have lifted the World Cup trophy five times and will play Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E at this summer's tournament, which is set to be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15.
