A total of 41,970 fans attended the World Cup round of 16 match between Brazil and Mexico in Samara, FIFA said via the tournament's official Twitter account on Monday.
Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 and advanced to the quarter-finals, where they will meet the winner of the Belgium-Japan match.
The match was a third sell-out game at the stadium after the encounters between hosts Russia and Uruguay on 25 June and Senegal and Colombia on Thursday were also played in front of sellout crowds.
The Samara Arena will also host a World Cup quarter-final.
