Sweden head coach Janne Andersson said on Wednesday that he did not want to boast about his team's 3-0 victory over Mexico.
Sweden defeated Mexico 3-0 in their last group-stage match on Wednesday, with both teams qualifying for the round of 16 with six points, while one of the pre-tournament favorites Germany were eliminated after a 2-0 loss to South Korea.
"I won't boast of our victory, we could play better and could have scored in the first half. Did I doubt that [defender Andreas] Granqvist would score from a penalty spot? Of course, it was an important moment, he felt our support, I'm sure. Sometimes I forget to celebrate when we score, I just take the next step and move forward in my plan," Andersson said.
Sweden will face Group E runners-up Switzerland in the round of 16 game at the St. Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday.
