The Group D match between Argentina and Nigeria at the St. Petersburg Stadium was attended by a sell-out crowd of 64,468 supporters, FIFA said on Tuesday via the tournament's official Twitter account.
Argentina left it late to secure a 2-1 victory in the 86th minute of the match through Marcos Rojo, which saw them through to the round of 16.
The stadium has hosted four group-stage games during the tournament.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on 14 June and will continue until 15 July, with the matches being played in 11 cities across Russia.
