Nearly 14 millions Russians watched their national team's World Cup quarter-final against Croatia, broadcast live on Russia's Channel One, a survey has revealed.
Russia lost to Croatia 4-3 on penalties in Sochi on Sunday morning AEST after the match finished 2-2 following extra time.
According to the survey conducted by the Mediascope research company, a total of 13,928,814 Russian aged four and older watched the match, while 23,382,212 people based in Russia watched the broadcast for at least a minute.
