Around 150,000 foreign fans have visited St. Petersburg since the 2018 World Cup kicked off on June 14.
"A total of 150,000 fans have visited St. Petersburg as of today. By the end of the World Cup we are expecting around 700,000 fans," tourism official Evgeny Pankevich told journalists.
St. Petersburg is one the 11 Russian cities currently hosting the FIFA World Cup. The 64,500-seater St. Petersburg Stadium has already hosted three matches of the tournament with four more to go, including a semi-final.
