About 8,000 Swedish fans have arrived in Yekaterinburg for Sweden's FIFA World Cup match against Mexico, officials say.
Swedish Ambassador to Russia, Peter Ericson, has come to Yekaterinburg for the match.
“Over 8,000 Swedish fans have arrived here today. It is arguably more than in the entire history of the Russian-Swedish relations,” the ambassador said.
The match will be the last World Cup game to be played at the Ekaterinburg Arena.
Sweden are currently third in Group F, three points behind leaders Mexico, with defending champions Germany in second.
