KAZAN, June 12 (Sputnik) - Australia defender Josh Risdon said on Tuesday that he had postponed his honeymoon because he was busy preparing for the FIFA World Cup, which will kick off in Moscow on Thursday.
“Honeymoon is a very special moment, but if there is something more important for me now it's the World Cup. My wife fully supported me. After our wedding I went to the national team to prepare for the World Cup. After the tournament we will spend together a couple of weeks. But anyway I am very happy now,” Risdon told journalists.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 arenas in 11 cities across the country. Australia were drawn in Group C alongside 1998 World Cup winners France, Denmark and Peru.
