The Belgian government is looking at ways to boost the country's image with the help of the national football team, following their recent success at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Red Devils won bronze, beating England 2-0 in a third place match in St. Petersburg on Sunday (AEST).
"I have begun talking to President of [the Royal Belgian Football] Association, Gerard Linard, to find out what we could do together to promote the brand of Belgium through the national team," Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders told Sud Presse.
Belgian authorities are considering integrating players into economic missions carried out by Princess Astrid, alongside government officials and entrepreneurs.
Belgium lost the semifinal match to France, 1-0. Les Bleus went on to win the championship.
