MOSCOW, May 30 (Sputnik) - The Belgian national football team held a minute's silence ahead of their training session on Wednesday in memory of the victims of Tuesday's attack in Liege.
The team posted a video of the players and coaching staff mourning on their official Twitter account, adding hashtags #Liege, #REDTOGETHER and #WorldCup.
The attack, which police qualified as "terrorist murder," occurred in the eastern Belgian city of Liege where a gunman killed two female police officers and a man in a parked car before he was shot dead by police.
The Belgian team are currently training for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15. The Red Devils will play Panama, Tunisia and England in Group G.
