The Brazilian Football Confederation has asked FIFA to explain why the VAR wasn't called into action during the national team's disappointing draw with Switzerland.
The main bone of contention regards an alleged push by Steven Zuber on defender Miranda when the Swiss midfielder headed the equaliser at the Rostov Arena.
Brazil also challenged the referee when they were denied a penalty after striker Gabriel Jesus was manhandled in the area.
"We've sent a letter to FIFA questioning the procedures adopted for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the match between Brazil and Switzerland," read a statement.
"CBF asks FIFA why the technology was not used during the game," the confederation said in statement published on its official website on Monday.
The VAR system, intended to correct refereeing errors, is being used at a World Cup for the first time and has already influenced a number of goals in Russia, including two goals in Australia's 2-1 defeat to France last Saturday.
