"It's not enough to have talent, otherwise Brazil would win every World Cup. So you need to be there ready, hungry, you need the passion, the organisation... this team didn't have much structure or experience in the World Cup. Only three or four players had been in the World Cup before," Parreira told journalists.

Five-time champions Brazil crashed out of the World Cup in Russia after losing 2-1 to Belgium in the quarter-finals.

"The Belgians surprised us in the first half but we were much better in the second half. In the end, the World Cup is a very detailed competition. If you don't do well in one game you are out. But we are still dreaming about winning in Qatar (in 2022)," Parreira added.

The 75-year-old steered Brazil to their fourth World Cup triumph in 1994. The South American side claimed their last title in Japan and South Korea in 2002.
