Paraguayan Referee Enrique Caceres will officiate the World Cup Group A match between hosts Russia and Egypt, FIFA's press service said on Sunday.
The game is set to kick in St. Petersburg on Tuesday at 21:00 Moscow Time (01:00 - Wednesday AEST).
Caceres will be assisted by Paraguayan linesmen Eduardo Cardozo and Juan Zorrilla as well as reserve referee Cuneyt Cakir.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will last until 15 July, with the games set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
