Russia head coach Stanislav Cherchesov said on Monday that his team must be careful not to start matches so slowly as they did against Uruguay.
"We wanted to score a goal in order to get a chance to score another one. We really wanted that. The team is psychologically strong enough not only to live through this defeat but to process it and draw some conclusions. But the training process is one thing, but how we feel inside, depends on the individual. You need to be ready at the right moment. That's what we couldn't do in the beginning of the match. You can't start such games so slowly," Cherchesov said.
Russia lost to Uruguay 3-0 in Samara on Monday and qualified to the knockout stage from the second place in Group A.
