Senegal head coach Aliou Cisse said on Tuesday that his team were “not too euphoric” after beating Poland 2-1 in Moscow earlier on Tuesday.
“Today we managed to control the game tactically and emotionally. This victory means we have started the competition in the best possible way, but we are not too euphoric because we know we will have a difficult game against Japan,” Cisse said in the post match press conference.
Senegal head coach added that the match against Poland was difficult as they were one of the best teams in Europe.
"I guarantee the whole Africa is supporting us. I get phone calls from everywhere. We are proud to represent Africa,” Cisse said.
Senegal will play Japan in Yekaterinburg on Sunday.
