MOSCOW, June 21 (Sputnik) - Former FC Moscow striker Hector Bracamonte told Sputnik on Thursday that the entire Argentina squad played badly in their encounter with Croatia.

After a goalless first half, Ante Rebic opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Modric curled a stunning shot into the top right corner from outside the penalty area in the 80th minute, and Ivan Rakitic tripled his side's lead in the final minute.

"Argnetina played really bad. Not only Messi played badly, all players played badly. Nobody helped him. It's difficult to explain such a lack of teamwork. I believe that Argentina can reach the knockout stage, but they need to beat Nigeria and wait for Croatia to beat Iceland," Bracamonte, who is from Argentina, said over the phone.

Croatia, who top the pool with six points, will next face Iceland in their final group stage game.

Argentina only have one point from their first two games and have to beat Nigeria in their final group game in Volgograd on Friday, to have any chance of making it to the round of 16.

Iceland will take on Nigeria in their second World Cup match in Volgograd on Friday.
