MOSCOW, June 12 (Sputnik) - The Costa Rica football team have landed in Russia ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the official tourist website for the FIFA World Cup said on Tuesday via Twitter.
"Another participant of the 2018 FIFA World Cup landed in Pulkovo [Airport]. Welcome to Russia, Costa Rican national team!" the website said.
During the tournament, the team will be based in St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city, and will be training at the Olimpiyets Stadium.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15, with the games set to take place in 11 cities across the country.
Costa Rica will play five-time World Cup champions Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland in Group E.
