Costa Rica forward Joel Campbell says his side fought "until the last minute" in their 2-2 draw with Switzerland.
Costa Rica drew their final Group E match with Switzerland 2-2 this morning.
They were knocked out of the tournament after failing to pick up any points in their first two matches, against five-time World Cup winners Brazil and Serbia.
"Me and my teammates had a good match, we had chances, we approached the opponents' goal many times," said the Arsenal FC forward.
"But we failed to take our chances at the very start of the match. Our team is a family, and today we were fighting until the last minute, which eventually gave us a draw," Campbell told journalists.
Switzerland qualified for the round of 16 as runners-up behind Brazil.
