Croatia defenders Dejan Lovren and Vedran Corluka did not participate in Wednesday's group training session after their side defeated Iceland 2-1 in Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday and advanced to the round of 16, the team's press service told Sputnik on Wednesday.
“Lovren was given a little break as a precaution and Corluka is working out on a spinning bike as usual on the day after the game,” the press service said.
Croatia topped Group D with a total of nine points and will face Group C runners-up Denmark in Nizhny Novgorod on Sunday in their round of 16 match.
