Croatian President Colinda Grabar-Kitarovic went into the changing room of the national team after their FIFA World Cup quarter-final match against Russia to personally congratulate the players on their victory.
On Saturday, Croatia beat hosts Russia 4-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 in extra time and advanced to the semi-finals where they are set to face England on Thursday (AEST).
Grabar-Kitarovich watched the game, that took place at Sochi's Fisht Stadium, from a VIP box alongside Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
After the match, the CFF posted a photo on Twitter where Grabar-Kitarovic in the national team's jersey is celebrating the victory with the players and staff members in Croatia's changing room.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off on June 14 and will continue until July 15, with the final set to be played at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
