MOSCOW, July 12 (Sputnik) - The Croatian Football Federation (CFF) has invited the entire Croatia squad and coaching staff, who claimed the third place at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, to this year's World Cup final between Croatia and France, the CFF said via its official website on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Croatia beat England 2-1 in extra time to reach the final for the first time.
"The Croatian Football Federation invites [former Croatia head coach] Miroslav Blazevic's side and all the representatives who won the bronze medal at the FIFA World Cup in France in 1998 to the FIFA World Cup final match in Russia," the federation said.
The match will take place at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday with the kick-off set for 18:00 local time (15:00 GMT).
Croatia's squad at the 1998 World Cup included:
Goalkeepers: Drazen Ladic, Marjan Mrmic, Vladimir Vasilj;
Defenders: Igor Stimac, Goran Juric, Slaven Bilic, Zvonimir Soldo, Igor Tudor, Zoran Mamic, Dario Simic;
Midfielders: Anthony Seric, Aljosa Asanovic, Robert Prosinecki, Zvonimir Boban, Silvio Maric, Mario Stanic, Robert Jarni, Krunoslav Jurcic;
Forwards: Petar Krpan; Davor Suker, Ardian Kozniku, Goran Vlaovic.
Suker, who is currently the federation's president, also received the Golden Boot Award at the 1998 World Cup as the tournament's top goalscorer.
