Egypt will play two-time champions Uruguay in Yekaterinburg on Friday, before facing hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia in their other two Group A matches.

"I do not like to guess results, maybe we'll talk about it later? Now we are focusing on winning and do no want to get distracted... from the upcoming match [against Uruguay]. I am not concerned about whether [Russia defender] Ignashevich can stop [Mohamed] Salah or not. It's the problem for the Russia coach and their team. Let them think about it," Cuper told reporters.

The FIFA World Cup got underway on Thursday, with hosts Russia thrashing Saudi Arabia 5-0. The final set is to be played on 15 July.
