ATHENS, June 6 (Sputnik) - The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) will broadcast all the matches of this summer's FIFA World Cup, a spokeswoman at the Russian Embassy in Nicosia told Sputnik Wednesday.
According to the spokeswoman, the channel will broadcast all the matches live in HD quality while also streaming the games on its official website.
The channel has also run a presentation of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
"Cypriots are very interested in the upcoming World Cup. They asked Russian representatives to speak on behalf of the host country. The Russian Embassy employees spoke about the preparations for the tournament, welcoming guests, arranging free transfers to the stadiums for fans, and security measures," the spokeswoman said.
Russia will host its first-ever FIFA World Cup between June 14 and July 15. Cyprus failed to qualify for the tournament after finishing fifth in their World Cup qualifying group.
