Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic said on Friday that Russia were good at going forward, and the Croatian team expected a hard World Cup quarter-final match against the hosts.
The two teams will meet in Sochi on Saturday.
"We played four [group-stage] matches, and all of them were different, we expect something completely different from Russia. We treat Russia with great respect. We are going to have a hard match. If you enter the quarter-finals and knockout Spain - it means a lot. Our opponents are good at going forward and on the counter-attack, we'll have to impose our style of play," Dalic told journalists.
