MOSCOW, June 11 (Sputnik) - The Danish national football team has arrived in Russia ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which kicks off on Thursday, FIFA said via the tournament's official Twitter account Monday.
During the World Cup, the team will be based in the Black Sea resort of Anapa in southern Russia and will be training at the Pontos Stadium.
On Saturday, the Danes beat Mexico 2-0 in their final World Cup warm-up match after a goalless friendly draw with Sweden a week prior to that.
The FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15. Denmark will play 1998 World Cup winners France, Australia and Peru in Group C, with their first match set to be against Peru in Saransk on June 16.
