The Socceroos' Group C opponents Denmark have suffered a potential blow with injured forward Nicklas Bendtner at risk of missing the World Cup.
The 30-year-old, who plays for Norwegian side Rosenborg, was hurt on Sunday during a 2-1 defeat at home to Brann in the country's top division.
According to the French sports newspaper L'Equipe, Bendtner might miss up to four weeks due to the groin injury.
The 81-cap former Arsenal player, who has scored 30 goals for Denmark, was named in his country's extended squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will take place in Russia between June 14 and July 15. Denmark will face France, Australia and Peru in Group C.
