Didier Deschamps oversaw his 79th match as France head coach on Tuesday, equaling the record of the team's former head coach Raymond Domenech.
Deschamps took charge of his side in the record-tying match as France played Denmark in their final Group C match, which ended in the first goalless draw of this summer's FIFA World Cup.
Deschamps has been in charge of the national team since 2012 and has led France to a total of 49 victories and 15 draws. At the previous FIFA World Cup, France reached the quarter-final where they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of eventual champions Germany.
Domenech coached France between 2004 and 2010 and helped them reach the 2006 World Cup final, which they lost to Italy on penalties.
At this year's tournament, France have already secured two victories and sealed their place in the round of 16 as Group C winners.
