France head coach Didier Deschamps said Friday that he had selected "the best squad" for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup match between France and Australia.
France will face Australia in their first Group C match in Kazan on Saturday.
"I have selected the best squad for this game. We want to create as complex challenges as possible for our rival [Australia], so that each member of our team could be useful in attack," Deschamps told journalists.
He added that he did not think that calling up young players to the team jeopardised their chances of a good World Cup.
"My young footballers are qualified... Our players are used to big clubs and big tournaments. Their age is not so important... They are ready for the World Cup," Deschamps said.
France, who claimed their only World Cup title on home turf in 1998, will also play Peru in Yekaterinburg on June 21 and Denmark in Moscow on June 26.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will last till July 15, with the games set to be played at 12 stadiums across 11 Russian cities.
