The President of the German Football Association (DFB) urged the national team would bounce back from their defeat to Mexico by playing well against Sweden and South Korea.
"Mexico wasn't a knockout game. Now give a proper response against Sweden and South Korea," Reinhard Grindel posted on Twitter.
Following Sunday's 1-0 shock defeat by Mexico, Germany cancelled all Monday's media outreach activities, including a press conference with former Germany defender and 2014 World Cup champion Philipp Lahm, and held a closed training session at their camp.
Defending champions Germany will face Sweden in Sochi on Saturday, before taking on South Korea four days later in their last Group F match.
