The Dutch failed to qualify for the tournament unlike Belgium, who have been drawn in Group G with Panama, Tunisia and England.

ā€œIā€™m in favor of Belgium now winning the World Cup, as the Netherlands are not taking part,ā€ Rutte said at a press conference in Strasbourg.

The World Cup kicks off on Thursday in Moscow with the hosts Russia taking on Saudi Arabia. The tournament will continue until July 15, when the final is due to be played in Moscow.
