MOSCOW, June 13 (Sputnik) - Bjorn Kuipers, from the Netherlands, will officiate the 2018 FIFA World Cup match between Egypt and Uruguay, FIFA’s press service said on Wednesday.
The game is set to take place at the Yekaterinburg Arena on June 15 and will kick off at 15:00 Moscow time (12:00 GMT).
Last season, Kuipers refereed the UEFA Europa League final in Lyon between Atletico Madrid and Marseille, which the Spanish club won 3-0.
Russia's first-ever FIFA World Cup starts on Thursday and will last until July 15. Uruguay and Egypt have been drawn in Group A where they will also face hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia.
