Dzagoev sustained a hamstring injury in the World Cup opening match on 14 June and had to sit out Russia's next three games.

The 28-year-old also missed Wednesday's training session due to back muscle problems but trained with the rest of the squad earlier on Thursday.

"It was an old injury, the back, I trained today. I'm ready for the game. We're having a great World Cup in Russia and those teams, who have been eliminated, deserved it," Dzagoev said.

The CSKA Moscow player had intended return to the pitch for the knockout stage but was benched for Russia's penalty shootout win over Spain in the round of 16.
